tugging at heartstrings

I am decidedly and irrevocably in love with crochet. I'm drooling over this and in serious need of this. I've been busting my fingers (and brain) as of late. And I'm having mixed feelings about knitting (and circular needles)... but my project is finally starting to show some progress-slash-promise! Better later/pretty than sooner/ugly, right? Let's hope so!

And thanks for the sneaky sweet emails. It was just one of those days, most likely because it's just one of those weeks [wink, wink]. I'm sure 70% of it was hormones ;)

Thanks to all the dear hearts out there that help mend my broken one. *B

  5. It looks wonderful! I am so proud of you. Not just for learning how to knit and taking on such a big project, but also for how you keep coming back! Someday you will receive all the glorious rewards you deserve.

  6. I can't knit my way out of a paper bag.

I hope you're feeling better. I get that way when I get overly busy with school stuff, neighborhood stuff......people always wanting me to do something.......bla bla bla. And usually 95% of the time I'm ok with that.....then there's that other 5% of the time. Sometime's it's just hard not to feel like you're not be taken advantage of. Just say NO! NO!

  11. I think we all have days like that. I have heard knitting is so therapeutic. Well, at least for someone with patience, which is something I don't have. So I will just admire folks like you from afar!

  14. I too caught a "hormones" comment in there... are you hinting at something;) and I'm super impressed that you're crocheting... I can barely sew on a button. Glad you're feeling a bit better!

  16. I never understand the difference between sewing, crocheting, cross-stitching or knitting. Is it something to do with the needle? Is one any better than another?

  25. I have to add that I was also worried for you when I read that last post but at the same time it made me feel good to realize that I'm not alone in feeling like that some days, you have such a way with words that you just captured it so perfectly and so many other things that you write. (I notice there is another Melinda--so this is the Farley one in case you couldn't tell)
