trying to stay sane...

{photo by Robin}
I'm back. From traveling, that is. I'm also back in laundry valley... honestly, I don't feel like doing anything. At all. Except read. I've been doing a lot of that lately. It's my way of hiding from the world. From things like laundry. And poverty. And pizza face. And non-pregnancy. And the HEAT! What else is there to do but lock yourself inside with your television, books, and bored (needy) child? And all of this leads me to wonder: who actually likes Apple Jacks???

No, really. I want to know. *B

  1. Apple Jacks is one of those cereals that I always wanted when I was a kid, but we weren't allowed to have them because they were one of the "sugary" cereals that were forbidden. But now, I don't think I'd mind a little bowl once in a while! What a rebel I am!

  3. Apple Jacks are good straight out of the box when you are ready to break your fast! (Otherwise other cereals are good for real breakfast eating.)
    You will one day get back into routine and be fine. Life is like that--up and down, back and forth. You will return stronger, wiser and better. Was that good enough mother advice?

  5. Hey the last time I bought cereal I bought Apple Jacks. I really like them BUT I think they get too soggy too fast. But that is just me.

  7. Nobody likes Apple Jacks really. Not only do they not taste like apples, they don't really taste like anything else either. I think someone forced me to eat a bowl when I was younger, and the rougher texture cut up my gums and mouth a bit. So I don't just not like them, I have a personal vendetta against them.

  8. I personally am not a Apple Jacks fan either. I'm glad you've had a lot of fun seeing family and friends. I'm hiding w/ you on reading!! Reading is such a great escape from the real world.

    You always liked Apple Jacks Heidi. And I seem to remember you eating them straight from the box after fasting. Jessica beat me to it...What are you reading?

  11. Glad you are back from your travels. I think escaping into the pages of a good book is the perfect way to pass the time. Not so sure about those Apple Jacks though.
