post script

I'm pretty sure I'm the worst blogger, right now! Forget posting regularly. Forget commenting regularly. Forget contests, or swaps. Shoot, forget Bloglines! And I can't guarantee that I'll be/get better anytime soon... but there are a few things I wanted to add since my last post. So here goes:

First off, we are poorer than dirt. I've never been so worried about money as I am now. These past few weeks and looking into the coming month is nothing short of frightening. However, we've been extremely blessed and things have just worked out, miraculously. Thanks to the law of tithing! Wow. Anyway, so I've been busting my butt to make a few bucks, ever since we got back from all our traveling. I'm venturing out more and more into the graphic design world and so far, so good. And hopefully next week, I can give you more details about what's been keeping me so busy. But busy is good, because it means money. And we need money. Now, more than ever.

Also, I am not pregnant. Just thought I would answer that question a bit more clearly. Yes, I wish I was, but apparently someone up high has some other plans for us. I'm trying to come to grips with said plan, and for most of the time I'm right on board with it. But then there are the times where no matter how logical I am (you know, realizing how lucky I am to already have a son and that there may be a darn good reason as to why I haven't had another one yet, etc.), it doesn't change the fact that I want a baby. I'm ready, waiting, and still wanting. So yeah.

And I am honestly amazed that there are people out there that like Apple Jacks! No offense. but I really don't care for them. And before you say/write anything, it has NOTHING to do with the fact that it's a sugar cereal. Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Cocoa Crispies just so happen to be amongst my favorites! But Apple Jacks? Bluck. Anyway, thanks to everyone for answering my random question :)

Oh, and if you're interested in learning about what I've been reading, then be my friend on GoodReads. Good stuff. Good times. And now I'm off to read some more, and be with my brother. Did I forget to mention that he's been visiting with us for the past week? Oh, and WALL-E is AMAZING. Go see it. *B

PS- to anyone who might be interested: I'm working on building up my portfolio in graphic design. So, to the first ten people, I will help design your blog/website, t-shirt, cards/invitations/announcements or anything else you can think of, for free! Email me with any requests or questions. Help me, help you ;)

  1. Oh oh oh! Pick me pick me! :P

I've been wanting to make a birth announcement for Ariana in Photoshop and then print it on photo paper to send to the family, but of course, baby takes up all our time lol

Can you make a birth announcement? :P

  2. You're amazing. You and your little family (hopefully to be a bigger-little family some day!). Keep going and never forget that your Heavenly Father loves you and will always be there for you.

And, if you're interested, I would love a sweeeet header, made by the fabulous Beth, to my blog ;)

  3. I know what you mean about pinching pennies...times are tough, but He never promised us that it would be easy.

Can't wait to see all your new and upcoming projects!

By the way, I know how you feel about wanting a baby...really, I do.

  4. Beth, boy do I know what you are talking about!!!!!!!!!!! Not about the not being pregnant thing, only, yes, I understand that feeling all too well...but the being dirt poor....thats right where we are and it sucks big time. Hang in there, things are supposed to get better eventually. At least that is what I've been told for months now and I am starting to not believe them!

  5. Am I in the top ten? Wahoo! I see a blog redo in my future...and by my design idol Beth...what seriously could be better than that?

Someone just told me that their best friends parents gave her 1.5 million dollars for their wedding last year...come on, seriously...what fun is that? I'll see if I can get her number for you on second thought...maybe we should make that a conference call.

  8. hey beth. it's good to hear from you and that you're hanging in there :) I check your blog every day and almost jumped outta my chair when I saw you had a new one. Man oh man are you in my prayers. Money is the scariest thing sometimes, and I'm so glad the law of tithing is taking effect in your life. I have complete faith that everthing will be okay, that everything will work out... I know you have that faith too :) love you lots and lots

It's great that you have talents that can help you make money. Go, B! And of course, you should know that I also know how you feel about wanting a baby and not getting one. So did you design the little bird saying chirp? I Love it!!! I don't have a blog account or any need for invitations, so I feel I am missing out on the free offer, if I even made the ten. I do love everything that I have seen you do. Good Luck!

  18. I am right there with you about wanting ot be prego so bad!! We have been trying for over a year, and the only luck we had ended in a miscarriage a few months ago! So, we are back at square one again. I am still trying to figure out what the "plan" is for me!! Good luck, sounds like we both need some baby dust!

  19. Oooo Apple Jacks...I agree. I think they are ick. Although, in all fairness, the only time I've tried them was when I used sour milk to pour over them, so maybe it was the milk that was nasty...I dunno, but ever since that day, I just can't eat them! :)

  21. Hi Beth, it's been awhile. #1 sorry your poor. I remember those school days. It stinks big time. #2 sorry your not pg. I had 2 miscarriages in a row and then could never get pg. I felt just like you and that also stinks. The nice thing is that there is a "big picture". You can't see it right now so faith really comes in handy. My husband ended up with a great career and I have 4 great kids. Be patient (easier said than done) and enjoy the journey.
