bucket o' fun

Monk has a blast with a pail full of water. Without any prompting he dunks himself and settles down in. Frankly, I'm surprised he fits! I'm even more surprised he's not freezing, because I would be... and check out that diaper! Impressive.

Yes, my son is that cute (if not cuter) in real life. And no, I did not arrange the hose or any other part of the rest of the scene. Just my boy and his joy: water. Just another thing we have in common (besides teasing).

PS- gosh, it's great having a camera.
And a fast one, too!
Oh happy days. *B

  2. So cute! Your new camera is awesome. I can definitely tell a difference. Plus it does help that your subject matter is absolutely adorable, and your Malibu setting is so picturesque.

  4. What is this "Monk"? He is a beautiful child and I am so glad I got to see him in person this summer. Oh, I was just thinking, do you mean Monk like the religious person, or like short for monkey?

  5. Nah, we're not very religious out here. HA! :P

"Monk" is in no way related to robed bald guys or the TV show. Although, he is crazy, in his own way. Hence, Monk is short for monkey.

  9. He is adorable. When I was tiny I used to sit in my mom's silver mixing bowl and spin and on the kitchen floor. You might introduce Will to that while he still fits.

  11. Aunt S,
We don't have spin-able floors, per se. We also don't have our metal mixing bowls out because they are pointless in our kitchen (or lack thereof). But I will definitely keep your suggestion in mind! :)
I can just picture you though, spinning and singing. HA!

  15. I always like it when you comment on my post, I guess I should give you the same courtsey and tell you my thoughts more often. :)

It is a really cute shoot! I think I'm jealous of your camera (at least if it's a digital slr. you've seen my film slr...oh hum, I never use it anymore, because of the film, maybe I'll try ebay or something.) And I'm also kind of jealous that your boy continues with his business oblivious to the camera, Grant sees it and stops what he was doing, preventing me from capturing whatever cuteness he had going on. Shouldn't be any surprise though, he did that while I was prego too.

yeah, maybe you could get me a digital slr instead of the onsie for Grant. :D kidding.
